Erik Hesson Portfolio | Original Oil Paintings

Central to my artistic practice is the continual push to innovate, which led to the creation of my signature style: Linear Perspectivism. This new approach reimagines the Classical Principle of Linear Perspective as a featured component of the aesthetic of each composition, rather than a supporting element. Through the use of basic geometric forms, dynamic texture, and vibrant colors, I strive to create idealized three-dimensional compositions that offer a new visual language in art.

Linear Perspectivism is not just a technique; it is a philosophical approach to how we perceive and interpret space. By elevating linear perspective to the forefront of the composition, I aim to challenge the viewer's understanding of depth, form, and proportion. My influences are varied, drawing from the geometric precision of Kandinsky, the fragmented forms of Picasso's Cubism, and the timeless principles of classical art.

"What Cubism did to the Cube, Linear Perspectivism does to Linear Perspective." This statement encapsulates my mission to redefine how we see and understand the visual world, challenging conventions and expanding the boundaries of artistic expression.
